Het beschrijvende detailblok bevat de gegevenselement Groepen P.3 tot P.13, die allemaal in wezen deel uitmaken van de feitelijke beschrijving van de vorm en inhoud van een product. Het blok als geheel is niet-herhalend. Het is verplicht in een <Product> -record tenzij de <NotificationType> in Groep P.1 aangeeft dat de record is een updatemelding die alleen die blokken bevat waarin wijzigingen hebben plaatsgevonden.
